I started and showed this stunning horse for her four- and five-year-old years, and she was just unmatched. An incredible mare, now happy in a new home.

Nell is bred and owned by one of the oldest Nooitgedachter studs in existence. With innumerable championships and top horses to its name, Arop Stud shows up in most pedigrees and show results and very seldom fails to impress. A product of nearly forty years’ careful breeding, Nell is a princess of the breed.

She was supreme champion in-hand three times. In the breed, she is just unmatched; a shining jewel of a mare that everyone loved. Her talent for dressage is simply breathtaking. She did the 2016 Young Dressage Horse Series and came fifth in the province amidst imports and warmbloods.

Nell has talent and trainability in spades, but also a whole lotta sass, which she is not afraid to flaunt at every opportunity. A true diva, Nell does everything extravagantly – dressage, in-hand, play in the paddock and throw enormous tantrums.

She’s quite something and I was beyond blessed to know her. Although Nell has gone on to another owner who needs her more than I do, I still miss her every day. She got me dreaming. She is still one of the best horses I have ever had the unspeakable honour of knowing, inside and out.
